FORS Accredited Service

Here at Chris Bennett (Heavy Haulage) Ltd we are proud to hold a Gold FORS accreditation. The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a well known voluntary accreditation scheme that encompasses all aspects of safety, fuel efficiency, vehicle emissions and improved operations. Its purpose is to raise the level of quality within fleet operations and to demonstrate which operators are achieving the standards. Gaining a FORS accreditation has allowed us to improve road safety, reduce the incidence of fines and fuel emissions and also increase our industry intelligence. Our compliance team work closely with FORS to ensure that changes in legislation and ever-increasing requirements are adhered to.

With our Gold accreditation, we are ultimately compliant with the CLOCS Standard for Construction Logistics and with TfL’s Work Related Road Risk. The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme is run in conjunction with Transport for London and the major construction projects which have taken place in the capital in recent years including Crossrail and Tideway. Crossrail Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TfL which built a new railway for London and the South East to improve journey times across London. As one of the first companies in the area to achieve the Gold standard, this will enable us to deliver throughout London to sites that expect the highest operational and safety standards. Several companies are coming to us with stories about their goods being turned away from sites on projects in the capital.  These projects have introduced the highest standards for all delivery vehicles onto their sites and operate a “zero tolerance” policy. You do not have to be caught out by these sites – our vehicles and drivers are FORS Gold compliant.

All of Chris Bennett’s vehicles are fitted with a vehicle compliance kit, which includes in-cab camera systems, side scan detection & warning systems and reversing sensors & alarms. This makes us the number one choice for deliveries from the North to major London contracts.
